Canyon X by lifebtb Canyon X by lifebtb
This one takes my breath away...

I recently rediscovered this shot while going through a stack of photo CDs. This is one of the best from a series taken inside "Canyon X" during March, 2004. Canyon X is a well-known slot canyon in Arizona, only 5 feet wide but 100 feet deep in places. It is a favorite for many photographers and you can easily see why.

All colors and lighting are 100% natural. There has been no manipulation of this photo from the original, and I've left the EXIF data intact for those that care to know exactly what settings were used.

Personally I could look at this shot for hours. I'm fairly certain I'll be buying one of my own prints :) Thinking the Lustre finish would be INCREDIBLE for it. I have another print done with Lustre hanging on the wall beside me, and the colors are nothing short of superb.

Enjoy!

Why would you BUY your own print? You CREATED the . . . print in question!

I can see the outline of the side of a woman's face. Look for it -- she's looking over in this direction => [the right] :D

Because the prints are professionally done on very high quality paper, and the Lustre finish is just awesome! Sure, I created the DIGITAL image, but that doesn't mean I have all the stuff to print it out on PAPER at a quality worth hanging on the wall. Besides, you get to buy your own prints at cost so the result is better and cheaper than going down to the local print shop to have it done. dA actually set up the print service pricing the way that they did for that exact reason. :D

Thanks! I really can't take credit for it. My father took that shot. He is seeking to remain anonymous about his photography at this point in his life, but gave me permission to publish it here under my account. I saw the shot and just couldn't let it sit on a hard drive somewhere and not be shared with people that might enjoy it. :) One of these days I hope to develop his skill... I'll be sure to pass you comment along.
